Screenwriting Services

Screenwriting Services

Here are the main types of screenwriting services at each stage of the screenwriting process:

Development Services:

  • Concept Development: Assisting in      refining and expanding the initial story idea, ensuring it is compelling,      marketable, and aligned with the writer’s vision.
Outlining/Story Development: Collaborating to create a solid story outline      or treatment that outlines the major beats, structure, and character.
  • Film Treatment Writing:      a narrative summary of the screenplay
    • Logline – one to two-sentence,       attention-grabbing summary
    • Detailed three-act movie or       stage play summary or summary of each episode in the TV show or miniseries
    • Description of each of the main       characters and their arcs.

Screenwriting Services:

  • First Draft Writing: Crafting the      initial draft of the screenplay, translating the story outline into a      full-fledged script while focusing on capturing the essence of the story.
  • Rewriting/Revision: Collaborating      to revise and polish the screenplay, improving structure, character      development, dialogue, pacing, and overall storytelling based on feedback.

Script Analysis and Feedback:

  • Script Coverage – Providing detailed      written feedback and suggestions that highlight your story’s strengths,      weaknesses, and potential ways to improve your idea, treatment,      screenplay, or book-to-screen adaptation. Includes up to a 30-minute      follow-up call consultation.
  • Script Consultation: Offering      personalized feedback and guidance through one-on-one sessions with      industry professionals to enhance the script’s quality and marketability.

Formatting and Proofreading:

  • Script Formatting: Ensuring the      screenplay adheres to industry-standard formatting guidelines, which is      crucial for professional presentation and readability.
  • Proofreading: Conduct a thorough      review of the screenplay for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and      typographical errors to maintain a polished and professional script.

Pitching and Marketing:

  • Pitch Development: Assisting in      crafting a compelling pitch package that includes a logline, synopsis, and      marketing materials to communicate the screenplay’s concept and appeal      effectively.
  • Pitch Coaching: Providing      guidance and coaching on presentation skills, pitching techniques, and      strategies to increase the chances of selling or securing interest in the      screenplay.
  • Query Letter: a written      communication in the film industry that serves as a form of a cover      letter, introducing yourself as a writer and presenting your story to      industry professionals such as agents, producers, or executives. Its      purpose is to grab their attention, generate interest in your screenplay,      and potentially lead to further discussion or consideration.

Each service is important at different stages of the screenwriting process. Development services help shape and refine the initial idea, ensuring a solid foundation for the script. Screenwriting services bring the story to life and refine it through rewriting and revision. Script analysis and feedback services provide objective insights to help strengthen the screenplay. Formatting and proofreading ensure a professional and industry-standard presentation. Lastly, pitching and marketing services assist in effectively communicating the script’s potential to industry professionals. These services collectively contribute to the overall quality, marketability, and success of the screenplay.

Who are we?

The Mission

Screenwriters Shop website was created by Sheri Hauser, owner of Glorybound Publishing, to provide a way for those offering services to connect with those who need them. Sheri has published books since 2005 and has excelled in website development, sound engineering, and social media marketing. Combining these elements provides a unique opportunity to offer an inexpensive platform for those with quality services to display them in a marketplace for sale. Our goal is to have the website get 10,000 hits per month within 6 months [similar to another website we manage]. Glorybound Publishing does not offer any screenwriting services. However, we do have a sound studio where we record live audiobooks and ZOOM with authors. However, we recognize there is a need in the publishing community to link individuals for the purposes of film and stage productions.

Print to Publish to Screen and Stage

Print to Publish to Screen and Stage

The publishing industry is divided into sectors. Many are going through conventional editing standards only to hit a wall regarding publishing because many traditional publishers have gone out of business. With no other option, authors and publishers are working through the process, weeding through online services, recognizing many are not located in the United States. A lot of outsourcing is occurring in the publishing/internet community now. Reliability, quality of the product, and timeliness have all been problems. On one side, authors are holding their screenplays, partially ready to go.

On the other hand, independent service providers wait for customers. The large companies outsourcing and filling their lots with workers have a larger advertising budget, so the little guys are left on page 7 of the internet search. Being caught in the middle, I am keenly aware of the struggle between those looking for services and those ready to supply the demand.

We are a Connector

Our goal is to connect those who need services to those with abilities to perform the service for the individual. Providing a local website [which we have control over] will provide a monitored environment, enabling one reliable place for those seeking screenwriting services and those offering their services. We do not dictate the price structure given by the service provider. However, we mandate the service provider to provide a price structure which we post on the website. The price may be changed every 3 months. This alleviates  fear regarding ‘hidden costs’ and being billed unfairly for services.

Glorybound Sound Studio

We opened Glorybound Sounds to produce audiobooks in 2022. Recognizing the need for increased education, Sheri Hauser obtained a Sound Engineering Diploma. The sound room has the capability to ZOOM with an author while directly feeding the audio into the digital interface recording the book live!

Social Media Marketing

Alignable

Social Media Explosion

Social Media Marketing

The on-line school recognized learning potential and offered more extended classes, so Sheri signed up one more time and, in 2023, received a diploma in Social Media Marketing. She went onto Alignable [a small business social networking site] to practice what she learned from the Social Media Marketing classes. Within 3 months, she became the Local Businessperson of the Year! The following year, in 2024, she became the Local Businessperson of the Year with the number 1 slot and the number 2 slot! She was doing the Social Media Marketing for the Chamber—so she received double recognition!

Which brings us around to...

Which brings us around to…. Why does Glorybound think they can pull this off? Sheri Hauser has been active in the local Chamber of Commerce since 2018, holding various board positions. She spearheaded building a Chamber website. This website now has an average of 10k hits per month! More traffic is better! It is a combination of principles of Social Media Marketing and business strategy which promotes success.

Helping business help themselves!

Helping business help themselves!

Glorybound Publishing has excelled in website development, social media, and marketing. Combining these elements provides a unique opportunity to offer an inexpensive platform for those with books or music to display them in a marketplace for sale. We will ‘flush’ the customers toward topic specific websites and assist authors [and publishers] with practical marketing options to help sell books. We offer low-cost membership plans, live marketing products, consultations for marketing and publishing, conferences, and connection with other authors of similar genre. We help them help themselves!
